Terms of Use
Last updated: 30 May 2026 · Methodological tool rodap
Article 1 — Purpose
These Terms of Use define the conditions under which an individual or an assisted organisation (the “Assisted Person”) uses rodap, a methodological tool designed by Julien Roddier (the “provider”), whose contact details appear in the legal notice.
What is billed by the provider is a support service — audit, advice, supervision, coaching — during which the provider makes its tools available, at no extra charge, for the duration of the service. The tool is not the subject of the contract: it is its working medium.
“Access to all my methodological tools is strictly included in and conditional upon taking out a support service.”
Use of the tool constitutes unreserved acceptance of these terms.
Article 2 — Access to the tool and accounts
The tool is accessible via a web browser, with no installation. Each assisted organisation (driving school, business, association, local authority) administers its own accounts and assigns them roles (manager, instructor, agent, pupil). The personal account of an assisted individual is strictly personal.
The Assisted Person is responsible for the confidentiality of their credentials and for all activity carried out from their account. Any suspicious access must be reported to the provider without delay. rodap protects sensitive data: the provider does not access that data.
Article 3 — Authorised use
The Assisted Person undertakes to use the tool in accordance with its intended purpose — monitoring the support service — and with the applicable regulations. The following are notably prohibited:
- any attempt at unauthorised access, bypassing security measures or bypassing separation between assisted organisations;
- use of the tool for unlawful purposes, or entry of data which the Assisted Person is not entitled to hold;
- any action aimed at disrupting the operation of the tool (overloading, injection, large-scale automated extraction);
- transferring, making available or sharing access outside the persons covered by the support service.
Article 3a — Automatic preparations and human decisions
The tool automatically prepares working materials: draft reports, formatting, identification of anomalies in the data entered. These items are proposals, never conclusions.
Analysis, pedagogical assessment and decisions are the responsibility of the provider and the assisted organisation, which review them and take responsibility for them. No decision producing effects on a person — assessment, test booking, sanction — is taken solely on the basis of automated processing. The data entered in the tool are used only for the Assisted Person's support service: they are neither reused for other purposes nor passed on to a third party for that third party's own use.
Article 4 — Data and responsibility for content
The data entered in the tool (pupils, timetable, invoicing, learning progress, documents) remain the property of the assisted organisation, which is the controller within the meaning of the GDPR; the provider acts as processor. The organisation warrants that it has the necessary rights and lawful bases for the data it processes. These data may be exported at any time in open formats.
Article 5 — Intellectual property
The brand rodap, the interface, the visual identity and the tool's code are the work of Julien Roddier, who is its author. The author of an intellectual work enjoys over it, by the sole fact of its creation, an exclusive intangible property right enforceable against all (Intellectual Property Code, Article L. 111-1); computer programs are among the intellectual works protected in this way (Article L. 112-2, 13°), and both their reproduction and their use require the author's authorisation (Article L. 122-6).
This exclusive proprietary methodology is neither assigned, licensed nor transferred. It is made available to the Supported Person, at no extra cost, solely for the duration of the support service and for their sole needs.
Article 6 — Availability and changes
The provider uses reasonable means to ensure the availability of the tool, without guaranteeing that there will be no interruption. Maintenance operations, updates or changes may take place, where applicable temporarily interrupting access. The tool is hosted on sovereign infrastructure in France.
Article 7 — Suspension and end of availability
In the event of a breach of these Terms of Use (unlawful use, security breach, unpaid fees after a reminder), the provider may suspend or close access, after informing the Supported Person unless there is a security emergency.
The tool is made available only for the duration of the support service, whatever the cause. This is not a penalty: the tool was never acquired by the Supported Person, and it supported the service. Before that end date, the supported organisation exports its data in open formats, and the provider assists it with that recovery. The termination conditions, as well as the period during which the data remains recoverable after the end date and the date on which it is erased, are set out in the terms of the support service.
Article 8 — Limitation of liability
The tool is a working aid; the supported organisation remains solely responsible for the decisions and legal obligations specific to its activity (training regulations, accounting and social security obligations, etc.). The provider cannot be held liable for indirect damage, nor beyond the limits permitted by law. No provision hereof limits any liability which cannot legally be limited.
Article 9 — Governing law
These Terms of Use are governed by French law. In the event of a dispute, and failing an amicable resolution, the French courts shall have jurisdiction, subject to the protective rules applicable to consumers.
